Dress in tunics and go on an adventurous and amusing tour through the world of the Romans, listen to exciting tales about the life of the Romans and try your hand at difficult tests of skill.
A surprise present for the birthday child and a Roman snack await you!

Children’s birthday party (from 10 children) in the Open Air Museum Petronell, Petronell-Carnuntum. Also possible in the Museum Carnuntinum in Bad Deutsch-Altenburg.

Summer camps "Life with the Romans"

A unique experience in the Archaeological Park Carnuntum!

Children and young people can enjoy the exciting life of the Romans in a summer camp full of variety and action in the unique surroundings of an ancient Amphitheatre.

Children from 9 - 14 years can experience the exciting life of the Romans for a week from 31 July – 6 August and from 7 August – 13 August. They will sleep in Roman legionaries’ tents and cook over camp fires following Roman recipes. The varied programme takes the young Romans back in time into the world of the antique Carnuntum:
* Torch-lit hike
* Quiz in the Open Air Museum Petronell
* Roman workshop – create your own Roman artefacts
* Afternoon in the swimming baths
* Tour of the National Park Donauauen

Special emphasis on experienced supervisors with paedagogic skills. Through the participation of children from foreign countries (such as Canada, Italy, Australia or France) the children are motivated through play to break down any possible language barriers.
