As the largest archaeological landscape in Austria, Carnuntum has three areas for visitors, which all have attractive and exciting settings for your visit. The Open Air Museum Petronell with its authentic reconstructions shows the civilian city of Carnuntum, whereas the Amphitheatre nearby tells of life in the Roman civilian settlement next to the military camp. In the "treasure house", the Museum Carnuntinum, impressive archaeological finds from the former metropolis on the Danube can be admired.
