Lower Austria’s Wine Road is a pleasurable route full of superlatives.  It takes you through eight Lower Austrian wine-growing regions: the Wachau region and Traisental, Kremstal, Kamptal, Wagram, Weinviertel, Carnuntum and the Thermen region.

More than 1200 wine-growers, 500 wine taverns, 35 vinotheques and 200 caterers and  hoteliers have come together to combine their strengths and to present jointly their special offers, ideas and projects, their products and cultural heritage.

Lower Austria’s Wine Road has a special charm, thanks to its variety:  this ranges from simple wine taverns to high-class wine-growers who have achieved superb awards, from destinations suitable for families to insider tips for fans of Falstaff, vinaria and Robert Parker.

Discover traditional idyllic wine-growing estates, modern wine adventure worlds, get to know customs and traditions, and enjoy the variety of internationally renowned wines.  Numerous festivals and events in 155 locations along the Wine Road in Lower Austria give pleasure to several hundred thousand visitors every year.
